A Doxie Christmas

Watch how we spent our Christmas.

In the video, you may have noticed I unwrapped my lamb toy and right away, Zachary took it! No worries though, I got it later after he was done playing with it :) It’s my new favorite toy!

I know Christmas was yesterday, but we just had to share this song with y’all. Jess and Amanda wrote it themselves! It is a parody of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.

“The Twelve Days of a Doxie Christmas”

On the first day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Tail wags and lots of kisses
On the second day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the third day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the fourth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the fifth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the sixth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the seventh day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the eighth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Eight holes to fill
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the ninth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Nine minutes of begging
Eight holes to fill
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the tenth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Ten barks for nothing
Nine minutes of begging
Eight holes to fill
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the eleventh day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Eleven bones buried
Ten barks for nothing
Nine minutes of begging
Eight hole to fill
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my doxie gifted me.
Twelve cuddles of love
Eleven bones buried
Ten barks for nothing
Nine minutes of begging
Eight holes to fill
Seven blankets burrowed
Six carpet stains
Five perfect sits!
Four muddy paws
Three chewed shoes
Two bowls to fill
And tail wags and lots of kisses

Christmas Packages

All the packages for Christmas have arrived!

Zachary and I got to check out the last one that came before it was confiscated by the humans.

We gave it a proper greeting by sniffing it.

And sniffing it some more.

Zachary had a great idea by knocking it over. Although, we still couldn’t find out what was in it. I know it was full of treats, I just couldn’t tell what kind.

Zachary tried pawing at it to see if that would get it open (this was his first time “greeting” a package), but it didn’t work. And then it got picked up to be taken inside.

I thought we were gonna get to open it, so I ran ahead in excitement with Zachary. Then, Jess said it was stuff for Christmas and that we had to wait!

Oh well… at least we don’t have to wait too much longer! Just three more days till Christmas!
